چکیده
Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) slag can be reused as aggregate in Portland cement concrete mixes. The addition of EAFS and other waste co-products (fly ash, blast furnace slag) will modify the binding properties will, importantly, enhance global sustainability such concretes. These mix designs offer acceptable pumpability self-compaction fresh state reinforced with fibers. In this study, eight different mixes are designed within range medium-strength concretes (30–50 MPa) characterized both hardened state. Large volumes used to pour beams, which then subjected small-span high-load tests evaluate their resistance shear stress, by analyzing two types transversal (shear) reinforcement. yielded promising results, contributing additional evidence on viability using recycled structural applications. mechanical behavior these was closely correlated strength predictions calculated formulas listed various international standards.

Punching shear strength of steel fibre reinforced concrete slabs
The ultimate strength of reinforced concrete slabs is frequently governed by the punching shear capacity, which may be increased with addition of traditional fitments such as reinforcing steel, headed studs or shear heads. In addition to these traditional methods of strengthening against punching, steel fibre reinforcement has proved to be an effective and viable alternative. The addition of fi...

In tall buildings the reinforced concrete (RC) shear wall is one of the predominant structural components used to resist lateral loads induced by earthquakes around the world. Previous research demonstrated that shear walls displayed a sudden loss in lateral capacity due to the wall corner and web crushing in the plastic zone. In addition, it was found that large shear distortions in shear wall...

متن کاملFlexural Fatigue Strength of Steel Fibre Reinforced Concrete Containing Blends of Limestone Powder and Silica Fume
Based upon the statistical distribution of flexural fatigue life data and flexural fatigue strength of the steel fibre reinforced concrete (SFRC) containing blends of limestone powder (LP) and silica fume (SF), the influence of these inserts on the flexural fatigue performance of concretes is probed. Concrete mixes were proportioned to replace 30% cement with these mineral inserts in different ...
متن کاملStepwise Regression for shear capacity assessment of steel fiber reinforced concrete beams
The addition of steel fibers into concrete improves the postcracking tensile strength of hardened concrete and hence significantly enhances the shear strength of reinforced concrete reinforced concrete beams. However, developing an accurate model for predicting the shear strength of steel fiber reinforced concrete (SFRC) beams is a challenging task as there are several parameters such as the co...
